The Taj Mahal is a magnificent white marble mausoleum built between 1632 and 1653 by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. It is located on the right bank of the Yamuna River in Agra, India and spans over 42 acres.
The Taj Mahal is more than just the greatest architectural achievement in the whole range of Indo-Islamic architecture; it is a symbol of love, loss and grief. Shah Jahan ordered the mausoleum’s creation in memory of his third wife, Mumtaz Mahal, who died during the birth of their 14th child.

The Hollywood Sign in Los Angeles, California is one of the United States’ most iconic sights. It rests on Mount Lee in the Hollywood Hills area of the Santa Monica Mountains and is composed of 45-foot-tall (14 m) and 350-foot-long (110 m) white letters.
It was created in 1923 as an advertisement for new housing development in the hills and originally read “HOLLYWOODLAND.” By 1978 the sign had significantly deteriorated, and a group of famous donors including Hugh Hefner, Gene Autry, and Alice Cooper, pooled their money to rescue the sign, one letter at a time.
